Description:
Around the world and across the ages, sharks and rays have mystified and intrigued us. Join Monterey Bay Aquarium educators to explore sharks and how cultures have celebrated these magnificent and unique animals throughout history. We'll start the day with a private, up-close and interactive exploration of the aquarium's new shark exhibit, then head off to our Discovery Labs for an in-depth investigation of shark myths, natural history, evolution and conservation. We'll share classroom activities and resources that integrate science, math, language arts and social studies, as well as provide suggestions for using your local aquarium or natural history museum as an important teaching tool. At the end of the day, you'll have plenty of time to explore other exhibits in the aquarium or wander along historic Cannery Row in Monterey. Lunch and museum admission included.
