Description: Reduce your teaching costs by using readily-available materials and manufacture discards! The Resource Area for Teachers (RAFT), a non-profit organization in San Jose, has been providing excellent activity ideas and extremely inexpensive materials to teachers for the last nine years. RAFT promotes teaching the way kids love to learn: using interactive and hands-on techniques. You will attend two hands-on sessions in which you will be guided through a series of science activities and leave with the necessary materials to do the activities with all your students. You'll also have time to browse our warehouse full of great ideas and cheap supplies! Snack provided.
