Description:
Life is inspirational in its diversity, uniqueness, and the ways that the multiplicity has evolved to live together. To appreciate biological diversity, observation is essential, both in the native environment and in museum collections. This session will offer insights into the value of biodiversity and the workings of evolution, using examples from Hawaii such as happy face spiders with their many colorful, smiley "faces," and cave-inhabiting no-eyed, big-eyed spiders.
